Happy Fall y’all! Although the weather hasn’t gotten the memo yet, it is officially Fall!
We don’t have a whole lot of events to tell you about in this month’s overview, but it’s not because we haven’t been busy. At Palace, we have an incredible management team and as a team, we have been going over all that we do as a company and evaluating each area to see how we can simplify what we do to help make the Palace guest experience the very best it can be. We are extremely excited as a staff to be tweaking and adjusting some areas for you! As we continue to roll out changes to you over the coming months, know that our heart is to simplify by focusing our energy and efforts on a few key areas to make the great big picture fantastic.
I will go ahead and give you one little teaser of what to expect, our management team has been working on developing and experimenting with some new recipes for house-made sauces and syrups. Our first syrup making experiment took place last week and we are excited to continue developing those and hope to be rolling those out fully by next month! Keep an eye on our social media for those details. We hope that you will come in and try them out and let us know what you think!
We are also revamping our menu design. Do you ever walk into a coffee shop and feel overwhelmed by all the options and big coffee words? We want to make looking at the menu simple. Menu anxiety is a real thing that can affect our guests and we want to eliminate that anxiety at all costs. Our new design will have a simpler, more visual way for you to see our options. It is being designed by our very own, Justin Rogers. This guy has talents beyond belief. He is not only a stellar barista, but also an incredible designer. We are lucky to have him lending his creative eye to us! While we think his new design will help with menu anxiety, don’t forget you can always ask the barista on duty to help you choose. Our staff is really great at finding our guests their perfect drink. The best news is, if you don’t like what they suggest, they will make you something else of your choosing on us.
We do have two fun events this month to let you know about:
Saturday, October 8th is WT’s homecoming and there are fun festivities happening all around the city of Canyon. One of the events happens to take place right in front of Palace. The Fair on the Square market will be taking place from 9am to 2pm that day on the Square. Palace will be open to take care of your caffeine needs. You can also stop by and check out our favorite new neighbor, Imperial Taproom. If you haven’t been in to check out their new space, what are you waiting for?
Thursday, October 13th our newest location at 34th & Coulter will be co-hosting a grand opening event with Amarillo National Bank. The bank opened their mortgage and lending center a few weeks ago. If you haven’t had a chance to stop in and see this incredible space, come to the ribbon cutting on October 13th. ANB will be serving up brats (while supplies last) from 11am to 2pm. The ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at 4:30pm. We are excited about this new banking concept and feel very fortunate to be a part of such an incredible organization as Amarillo National Bank!
October Cause Latte: Crème Brulee Latte benefitting Amarillo Little Theatre Academy
At Palace, we feel it is very important to give back to our community. Each month, we select a local non-profit and create a specialty drink to sell for that entire month. $1 of each cause drink sold goes back to that organization. This year, we have already raised over $3,500 that has been distributed out to multiple non-profits in our community! Who doesn’t want to drink a tasty drink and feel great about it because you are also giving back to the community?! The cause drink this month is back by popular demand! It is our crème brulee latte, which is caramel, vanilla and steamed half & half with raw sugar topping torched to perfection. Because of the torching involved, this drink is served in house only so grab a friend and come give it a try and support the arts in Amarillo!
